Staying healthy is always relevant and always important and Lisa’s Thermography & Wellness is on your team! Living here in the Garden State has it’s perks, such as a number of programs you can get involved in to stay healthy! Here are some of our favorites.
1. TERRY BUTLER MEMORIAL 5K
Running alone is already beneficial to your health, but running for a good cause is even better. The Terry Butler Memorial 5k was started as a way to raise funds for the Terry Butler Scholarship. You can register to run and even donate money and all proceeds go towards the scholarship fund. This year’s 5k is on Sunday October 1st and starts at Hampton Borough Park.
2. POSE WITH PINTS
Pearly Baker’s Ale House & Yukato Yoga have teamed up with Funk Brewing for this healthy and fun event. For Pose with Pints you will have to drive 30 minutes into our neighboring state of PA, but its worth it! Sue Amato of Yukato Yoga will be leading the class & Keith from Funk Brewing will be there after to chat about beer. This is a BYOM (Bring your own mat).
3. FEED YOUR GUT WORKSHOP
The Feed Your Gut Workshop hosted by The Living Plate goes on several times throughout the year. The next one is on microbiomes! Join Chef Julie Harrington, RDN for a hands-on culinary workshop in our teaching kitchen. Explore preparation of delicious, plant-based foods that help balance your gastrointestinal bacteria.
