Incorporating wellness practices to promote serenity to combat life’s challenges.

Do you ever catch yourself feeling overwhelmed by simple tasks?

Or

Are you feeling like you are losing your grip on life?

If you answered “yes” to any of these questions, do not worry! The feelings of chaos, over stimulation, lack of motivation and frustration are all normal emotions. These emotions normally creep up on us when we stop working on our mental health and prioritizing other tasks. Additionally, stress has a severe negative impact on our bodies. As seen through your thermography screenings, stress can cause muscle pain and affect the necessary bodily functions.

When our mental health begins to decline and we begin to continuously feel lost in life’s chaos, we experience, what is known as, burnout. More specifically, burnout leads our minds to exhaustion and it no longer functions in the positive ways we have once practiced. While our minds begin to shut down due to stress, our health status begins to decline.

To avoid mental burnout, it is necessary to prioritize your mental health needs and find ways to focus on calming the mind.

  • Tip #1 Take a Break and Breathe

We all deserve a break throughout the day no matter how big or small the task at hand may be. Never undermine your brain’s need for a break. Just take a few moments to step away from the task at hand and take three long breaths. First, take a deep inhale and then hold for a second before deeply exhaling.

  • Tip #2 Spend Some Time Outside

On sunny days, take some time to go outside and bask in the sunlight. Vitamin D, sunlight, can drastically improve your mood. Depending on how much vitamin D your body needs, you can obtain it naturally from the sun and/or take a daily supplement.

  • Tip #3 Meditate

Even if you live a busy lifestyle, find a few minutes within your day to meditate. Whether you are in the comfort of your home, outside, or in public, it is amazing what a few moments of mindful meditation can do for you. For meditation beginners, it is great to start with guided meditations to set the stage for you and before you know it you will be doing it without a guide. Meditation allows your mind and body to slow down while also reconnecting to one another..
